DOXYFAN 500 ( Doxycycline Hyclate 50% Water-Soluble Powder)
Composition. Each kg contains Doxycycline Hyclate 500 g (50% w/w).
Overview. Tetracycline antibiotic for prevention and treatment of infections in poultry caused by doxycycline-sensitive bacteria. Effective for CRD/CCRD, infectious coryza, salmonellosis, and colibacillosis.
INDICATIONS:
DOXYFAN 50% for the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to doxycycline, such as Campylobacter, Salmonella, Rickettsia, Klebsiella (Colibacillosis), Pasteurella, Mycoplasma spp.
(CRD – CCRD), Avibacterium paragallinarum (Infectious Coryza), Staphylococcus spp., and Streptococcus spp.
It is also effective against infectious synovitis and sinusitis caused by Mycoplasma spp.
Due to its lower urinary excretion compared to other tetracyclines, doxycycline is considered a suitable option in cases of renal.
Dosage & Administration:
Poultry: 20–40 mg/kg b.w./day, or 200–400 g per 1,000 L drinking water for 3–5 days.
Turkeys: 20–40 g per 100 L drinking water for 3–5 days.
Use medicated water as the only source and prepare fresh daily
Withdrawal Period. Meat (chickens and turkeys): 5 days. Eggs: Not permitted in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption.
